Egyptian Spirits

One of the great things about Dahab is that you can bring your own wine to dinner practically everywhere. We liked one of the local wines and would regularly bring a bottle to accompany our evening meal. I can't believe it took us almost a week to take a closer look at the spirits that were sold in the restaurants and liquor store. They are all produced in Egypt. Look closely and you will see what I'm talking about! My personal favorite (no photo) was called: GOODYEAR: Fine Old Spirit

  1. These faux labels almost fooled me when I first looked at them. Have you tried any of them? I am sure they are nothing like the real thing.

  2. Amazingly enough, we did not try any...I guess we were too worried about the headache guaranteed to follow!

  3. I am in blog withdrawal. Surely something worth posting has happened in Turkey?

  4. As you know, I even love to post things that *aren't* worth posting.... We should have a diversion or two up in the next day or so. We've been on a boat so a) we haven't wanted the laptops out and b) we've gotten mega-lazy. :)
